Pastor Ricky and Joni Franklin

Pastor Ricky Franklin was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. He graduated from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in 1992 with a Bachelor's Degree in Cross Cultural Ministries and a minor in Church Ministries. In 1995, he was ordained as an Assemblies of God Minister. Following God's calling, he ministered to youth and college students in Texas, Montana, and Florida, until God called him and his family to plant New Day Church in 2005. He is experienced in all areas of ministry, and he has a heart for revival. Pastor Ricky aims to lead the congregation by the leading of the Holy Spirit. Each sermon is a fresh word from the Lord.
Pastor Ricky and Joni met at Southwestern and married in 1992. Pastor Joni was born in Wisconsin, and raised in the the home of a minister. From an early age, Joni was filled with the Holy Spirit and began serving in the ministry with her family. After attending Southwestern, she graduated with a Bachelors degree in Inter-Disciplinary Studies. She carries a passion for the people of God and desires to see his people walk in healing and wholeness. Together, Pastor Ricky and Joni, have a desire to see the moving of the Holy Spirit in the lives of God's people. Joni loves to have fun and enjoys entertaining in her home.
All about Family
Pastors Ricky and Joni Franklin love all of their nine children. After having five biological children, they adopted four beautiful children through foster care. Now they share their love for family with everyone they meet.
Simon and Viviane Hie- French African Ministries Directors
Simon and Viviane are from Cote D’Ivor (Ivory Coast), West Africa and they lead our French African Ministry. They have three beautiful daughters and they love to laugh. Simon and Viviane are faithful leaders and powerful intercessors. They would love to see you at 1pm every Sunday for our French service!
Pastor Joe Franklin-Associate Pastor
Meet Joseph Franklin! Pastor Joe was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. He graduated from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in 2016 with a Bachelors degree in Bible & Theology with a minor in Church Ministries. Pastor Joe leads our Young Adults Ministries and helps facilitate many areas of New Day Church. Joe is outgoing, fun, and full of the Holy Spirit. He loves going treasure hunting, drinking coffee, playing at Top Golf, and enjoys books about leadership.
Nathan Franklin-Children’s director
Nathan is the fifth child of Pastors Ricky and Joni and grew up right here in Roanoke, TX. He serves as our Children's and Communications Director. He has a passion for both children’s ministry and missions. He spent a year in Central America as a missionary, working with a ministry called King’s Castle that ministers to children. While there, he developed a love for missions, and learned Spanish. Currently, he attends SUM Bible College and Theological Seminary where he is getting his Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies. You can often find him hanging out in a coffee shop with friends or chasing new experiences.
Paxston Cole-Worship director
Paxston Cole was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He is the Worship Director, as well as the AV head for New Day DFW. Paxston was raised in church and always was involved with youth or drama ministries. After graduating high school he started to sing and lead worship, where God has kept him ever since. He has a passion for enabling others to enter into worship, and loves to spend time just soaking in God’s presence. Paxston's interests include spending time with friends, board games, and learning new styles of cuisine to cook. He currently attends Christ for the Nations Institute where he plans on getting his degree in Pastoral Ministries.
Cindy was born in Jacksonville, Illinois but grew up in Mechanicsburg, Illinois as a child. She came to the Lord soon after graduating High School. Not long after, she met her husband, Steve in Springfield, Illinois. Her and Steve have four adult children. Cindy and Steve enjoy researching ancestry, doing puzzles, and traveling to see family. Cindy has over 30 years of children’s ministry experience, and has ministered in Illinois, Arizona, and Texas. She is a certified minister and a crucial part of our team. Your children are in wonderful hands with Cindy.
